Today I’m going to share with you my experience with the latest addition to the botanical collection: the LEGO 40725 Cherry Blossoms. What’s in the Box?

The box contains 430 pieces, separated into 8 small numbered bags, which are mostly small and in various shades of pink, light purple, green, and brown. The set also includes a simple instruction booklet that guides you through the four building stages.

How to Build It?

The building process is quite intricate and, I have to admit, somewhat tedious. The set consists of two identical twigs that are made of many tiny pieces and require a lot of patience and precision. You have to repeat the same steps for each twig, which can get a bit boring after a while. However, the end result is worth the effort, as the twigs look very realistic and detailed. The flower heads are made using minifig crowns, which are new in light purple, and they have green leaves underneath them. The twigs are connected by hinges and handles, which allow you to adjust the angle and position of the flowers. The set does not include a vase.

How Does It Look?

The set looks absolutely stunning when displayed in a vase. The cherry blossoms are very eye-catching and add a splash of color and charm to any space. 

It is very fun to build and to admire. I hung 2 small lanterns on it to give a Chinese New Year vibe.
