MG Wing Gundam Zero EW Ver.Ka Custom build

I completed my MG Wing Gundam Zero EW Ver. Ka custom build! It took me some time to complete it. 

When I first outline the setting for the Wing Zero, I was struggling with how to present her inner struggle that occurred when she was transformed from bright side into a dark force. I made some modifications on the kit in order to meet the concept I want to present.

I used a bolder color scheme. Instead of using all dark colors, I chose the original color scheme plus some black for the fuselage (body) to show her unyielding soul. For the wings, I used black, gray and white. Three colors to show her gradually becoming darker. For weapons, I used military colors to highlight the power of the blackened Zero.

Because I want to highlight the effect of the light on the chest, I also made modifications on the chest structure, to enhance the sense of three-dimensionality.

Finally, I gave her an artistic name: [Twilight Horizon]

Straight build to check condition.

Modification on the rifles completed.

Modification on the chest and light testing.

Modification on the feet.

Modify to install a USB Type-C connector to the waist to connect to power source.

Fitting test.

Modify display stand head to USB Type-C connector to connect to the Wing Zero, install micro USB port charger, rechargeable battery and switch to the display stand base.

Test fit everything to the stand to make sure the USB Type-C connector is strong enough to support the weight of the Wing Zero. And make sure power supply is good.

I painted the display stand in clean and neat but I’m not satisfied. It can’t match with my concept. So I applied wear and tear on the display stand as well as a bit of weathering.
