Lego UCS Tumber being rolled out!

Today's hottest news (most talked about) will be Lego rolls out "Dark Knight" Tumbler for Comic-Con.
Based on the article published on USA Today, Lego is going to release the 1869pcs Lego UCS Tumble this coming September. This for sure is a very exciting news for all Lego Batman Collectors. Check out the article below:

"A LEGO Tumbler, the Caped Crusader's black armored vehicle of choice in Christopher Nolan'sDark Knight movie trilogy, will be on display at Comic-Con this week beginning Wednesday. Following the pop-culture convention, which runs through July 27, the Tumbler toy (1,869 pieces, $199) goes on sale at LEGO stores and shop.LEGO.com in September.

Measuring 15 inches tall and 9 inches wide, the LEGO Tumbler has an armored exterior, adjustable wings, a detailed interior (with a console screen that reads "INTIMIDATE") and oversized rubber-tread tires. It also comes with a fact sheet about the vehicle from the movies.

If you're into character mini-figures, the stars of the set are a Christian Bale-styled Batman and the Joker, the first time Heath Ledger's The Dark Knight take on the villain has appeared in LEGO form."

DeToyz's Gundam Contest 2.0 - Judges Introduction

Who's the judges in our Gundam Contest 2.0?

Let's give some introduction on one of our Judges - Mr Miller See from Hobby Reina.

- Miller See has been supporting Hobby Reina club team for collaborating with artistes with various expertise in the scale modeling community. He has a professional background of working in the creative industries since 2004. His scale modeling interest include genre of miniature military weathering and science fiction vignette creation.

Below is one of the product which Miller involved in.

DeToyz's Gundam Contest 2.0

We are organising the Seremban Gundam Contest 2.0 (last year was 1.0) at DeToyz shop from July until Sept 2014. Seremban Gundam Modellers, let's gather again!

Detoyz’s Gundam contest 2.0

Rules:

1. A customer of De Toyz Shop or a follower DeToyz Facebook page.
2. Must be Bandai Gundam model kits - Any model that scale 1/100 or 1/144
3. The contest is divided into 2 categories:
• Straight build - Category for beginner modelers. Emphasis is placed on seem line, nub, and flash removal.
• Modified build - Modified category for beginner/advanced model builders. In this category, entries can modified their gundam by:
• Coloured
• Weathering
• Battle damage
• Dioramas
4. Every entry must fill up the entry form that can get at DeToyz shop Seremban started from 19th July 2014.
5. Only gundam that purchased from DeToyz from 19th July 2014 onwards qualify to participate in the contest.
6. This contest will run from 19th July 2014 until 21st Sept 2014. All entries must submit their gundam to De Toyz Shop latest on 20th Sept 2014. Winners will be nominated on 04th Oct 2014.
7. Please do email me at least 3 WIPs photos(with or without descriptions) during contest period so I can blog it or post on our FB page. Let us know what you are doing. You can either email to detoyz@hotmail.com or our FB page's inbox.

Judging Criteria:

• Painting (0-10 points): Quality and execution of the painting, including detail, of the entry.
• Technical (0-10 points): Includes thoroughness of basic model building including nub removal, seams as well as excellence of any modifications.
• Creativity (0-10 points): Aesthetics of the entry, including concept, posing, unique painting scheme and presentation, including diorama if applicable. The more creative and interesting things you do to your entries, the higher you will score!

Italian Civilian Motorcycle 125 Primavera

This awesome kit from a Taiwan based company, DIOPARK, is now available at our store. This is a very accurate and detail kit which has 2 motorcycle in a kit. 

This set was recently won the award in the Germany model magazine - Modellfans. 

Let's see how the Japan modeler, Shatosi Araki, turns this into real. :)

 

Lego Bus Stop at Regent Street, London

A bus stop made entirely out of Lego bricks was recently built at the Regent Street, London, outside of the Hamley's Toy Shop. The bus stop was made out of more than 100,000 Lego bricks and it is currently being used as a real, working stop, serving nine routes.
